After 15 years, Montréal’s premiere business radio show expands its mission
For its 16th season, the TNKR Media production Inspiring Entrepreneurs is gradually expanding its mission, on two fronts: To profile a greater number of national business figures, and to offer more content for subscribers on the show’s podcast feed.
Presented by BDO Canada, an international accounting and business advisory firm founded in Belgium in 1963, IE began as a sponsored radio program on Montréal’s CJAD 800 AM, and is seeing increasing engagement within eastern Canadian business circles, particularly on LinkedIn; the show now counts its listeners online and on the radio in the five figures weekly.
As part of TNKR Media’s Upgrade to Radio offerings — where podcasting clients can see their shows converted to mainstream talk radio hours and aired on Bell Media/iHeart affiliates in Canada — our longtime friend Mike Newton, Lead Partner, National Corporate Development at BDO Canada has joined TNKR Media’s Dan Delmar for in-depth conversations with accomplished entrepreneurs about their journey, how they manage their operations and plan for the future. It’s a discussion for businesspeople, by businesspeople with the goal of helping to accelerate Canadian entrepreneurship in the face of complex new challenges.
In addition to being Canada’s longest-running media project on entrepreneurship, Inspiring Entrepreneurs set broadcasting industry benchmarks in the early days of the pandemic, becoming the first Canadian paid program to broadcast live content following the start of the pandemic in March 2020, programs with details on emergency financial resources and measures available to business.
New episodes of Inspiring Entrepreneurs are available for download on major podcast platforms like iHeart, Apple and Spotify. Guests appearing in late 2024 include:
- Larry Rosen, CEO, Harry Rosen
- Dax Dasilva, founder and CEO, Lightspeed
- Mohamed Hage, co-founder and CEO, Lufa Farms
- Mike Jager, co-founder and co-CEO, Rosefellow
- Brett Huneycutt, co-founder and CPO, Wealthsimple
